Hubby and I decided to watch a movie last night. It's something we seldom do. We chose "Fireflies in the Garden." The synopsis on the DVD sounded good...the story about a dysfunctional family who gather to bury the mother who was killed in a car crash on the day she was graduating from college. Her children grown, she had decided to go back and get a degree.This is a movie I would NOT recommend. The flashbacks made it very confusing and the action was very slow. In fact it was difficult to make sense of the entire thing. We got the point that the father had always been both physically and emotionally abusive, but there was no resolution to that fact. The movie ended very much the way it began...a poor plot with no conclusion.
No wonder I've never heard of it.
