Yes, he did it again. Brandon got a letter from the school this week with his grades and he made the Honour Roll again. This is the 3rd year in a row. We are so proud of him.Brandon has come a long way from that little boy in grade one who was diagnosed with PDD. His Asperger's hasn't held him back in many ways, except for social skills and he still finds it difficult to communicate with people he doesn't know well. I'm not sure he will ever overcome that part of his disability, but he has done wonders in other areas. He's a hard worker and will take on any task that is asked of him. He just needs to be told once what he has to do and he pretty much picks up on it. He's a smart young man.
Jordan did okay in school this year. He got his progress report a week or so ago. He did well in every subject but Math and he just made it. 50% isn't a passing grade in my eyes, but that is what the education system says it is, so he got all of his credits. Math isn't, nor has it ever been, Jordan's strong point. I'm not sure what can be done about that. Math is something that either comes easy or you struggle with. Math is not my strong point when you get to algebra and other advanced topics.
Both boys have been a big help to me this summer. Hubby spent last Monday at the hospital and they told him he had a minor heart attack. I took him in at 10am and he was released about 8pm. Not a pleasant way to spend the day.
That's about all the news for now. Nice to be back in touch with my blogging friends and let them know what's happening in my world.
Congratulations to Brandon - that's a big honor! It's great that both boys are doing well and are such a big part of your life.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the boys for doing such a super job. Math is a skill you really need to do well in living a life, so maybe some day it'll grab him and he will see the light so to speak.
It's always good to see you up and about on your blog. I miss you. I haven't seen our sweet Pea [Carole] for weeks either. You Canadian ladies need to keep us posted more often. LOL
I'm with Jordan.. math is not my favorite thing either... Congrats to Brandon!! I know you are so proud of both of your grandsons. Sorry to hear your husband had the light heart attack. It is always good to hear from you!!
