Photos of Tarryn

I introduced my readers to my youngest great-nephew at the beginning of August. I promised some photos when he was a newborn and his mother, Melissa, has sent me some that I'd like to share.

Tarryn protesting being taken out of a nice warm, cozy place and brought out into the cold world.
Dad holding Tarryn minutes after the was taken by C-section. He looks tiny in Jack's arms, but weighed in a 9 lbs 5 oz and 22 inches in length - a good sized baby.

Tarryn bonding with his mother not long after birth. Of course both of Tarryn's parents were very proud and rejoicing because he was fit as a fiddle.

Mom, Dad and Tarryn. Melissa looks really tired and still a little out of it but glad to have her photo taken with the newest arrival to the family, as was Jack.

Oh, Tarryn already has a Winnie-the-Pooh. It was given to him by Great-Grandma, my mother. He looks cozy and warm in his bed with his beautiful hat on to help him retain his body warmth. These hats are made by volunteers and given to each new baby.

A beautiful little boy and a younger brother for Griffyn. Isn't the blanket the cutest? This was made for him by my mother. She spoils all the new babies.

Four generations. From left to right:
Great-Grandma, Mommy who is my niece Melissa, holding baby Tarryn, Grandma - my sister Candy and in the forefront, big brother Griffyn.

I do hope you enjoyed seeing these photos. What lovely keepsakes for the entire family, including Tarryn.

Have a great Sunday. Today is Jordan's birthday party and after that, hubby and I are going to meet Pea at Pea's Corner and Steve. I can't wait. It's going to be a great day. ~Blessings, Mary~

Griffyn Meets Baby Brother, Tarryn!

My mother dropped by today after church and spent some time visiting. She's been out of town staying at my sister's house to give her a hand with Griffyn while his Mom is in the hospital with our family's latest arrival, Tarryn.

Mom had her digital camera with her and wanted to know if I wanted to see photos of Tarryn. Her digital is a Kodak, just like mine and so I asked her if I could try and download the photos. It worked. So I'd like to introduce you to....Tarryn...

Above is the happy Mom & Dad. My regular readers already know Griffyn. This is a beautiful family photo taken at the hospital.
Dad holding his two sons. Griffyn meets Tarryn and he is wondering what in the world is going on.
Here, Mom is showing Griffyn how tiny Tarryn's hands are. Griffyn did hold hands with Tarryn, my mother said. He was quite gentle with him.
What's all the fuss. Is this little guy going to change my entire life? Yes, Griffyn, things will never be the same. You are now a big brother.
Proud Mom holding the baby. She is so glad that Tarryn has been born. The last couple of weeks were a real trial for her. She was having false labor and a lot of indigestion.

I hope you enjoyed seeing photos of Griffyn and Tarryn. Our family has been truly blessed with this latest addition. Have a wonderful week. ~Blessings, Mary~

A New Arrival

Baby Boy

Announcing the birth of Tarryn Lockyer. My regular readers all know my great-nephew, Griffyn, who just turned one on June 28th. Well, Griffyn now has a new brother. Tarryn was born by scheduled C-section just before 12pm August 1st. He weighed in at 9 lbs 5 ounces - definitely a big boy. His parents report that he has lots of beautiful dark hair.

Both Tarryn and Melissa are doing well. I don't have a photo of Tarryn yet, but will post one as soon as one is available. Have a wonderful weekend. ~Blessings, Mary~

Update: The new Mom just called me and she is plum tuckered out. She told me that Tarryn has dark brown hair and lots of it and that he measured 22 inches long. She's glad that it's over and that he is healthy, though he's been a bit fussy.

This makes seven times I've been a great-aunt. Four great-nieces and three great-nephews.

And if you would like a baby of your very own, meet Son_Shine.

Denise over at Sew the Word is giving this beautiful doll away. Please drop by and add your name to the pot. The draw will be on Sunday. Guaranteed this baby doesn't wake up crying in the night, nor does it need diaper changes. That is the kind of baby that I want in my home.
