Thankful Thursday

It's time for Thankful Thursday and I'd like to thank Laurel at Laurel Wreaths Reflection for being the host. If you would like to read more Thankful Thursday posts, please click on the link to visit Laurel's site and Mr. Linky.

Today I have many things to be thankful for.

* The love of family is high on my list. I was brought up that family is the most important thing we have. All of my family are very important to me. I'm am thankful for each one of them.

* I'm thankful for my friend, Denise, over at Shortybear's Place. Denise has been a great source of support to me. She is such a loving and giving person. She is VERY ILL right now. Please click on the link to her site and pay a visit and also keep her in your prayers. She has diabetes and is suffering from severe complications of that disease.

* I'm thankful for my friend, Deena, of Can I Be Pretty in Pink? This is Deena's diary about her journey with breast cancer. Deena is such a dear and is Grandma of six. Wow! I can barely keep up to two. Please keep Deena in your prayers as well, as she is feeling scared right now, which is absolutely normal. Her surgery is in 13 days. Deena has another lovely blog as well. It's Nestled in the Singing Woods.

If you have time, please visit both of these ladies. If that isn't possible, please keep them in your prayers.

* I'm thankful for all the online friends I have that brighten each day with their posts, emails, love and prayers. Thanks to all of you.

* I'm thankful for food on our table, a roof over our heads and enough money to get by each month and have some left over. There was a time when I didn't have enough to get by on.

* For God, who knows all things and is with us in our daily walk.

I hope you enjoyed my Thankful Thursday post. May each of you be blessed as you go about your lives today. Blessings ~Mary~

  6. Good Afternoon Mary,
I went over to Deena's last night and left a comment for her and prayed for her. I will still keep her in my prayers each day. I will go over to Denise's later on and leave a comment as well. We do have so much to be Thankful for. Everyday is a "THANKSGIVING" to me. I am THANKFUL for my Family, Clothes, Food, and my new found Blogging Friends. All of my Blogging Friends are an inspiration to me. You all just lift me up each day. I hope you have a good time this afternoon with your other grandson going to the farm. I hope it is warmer today than on Tuesday. Well, take care my friend and have a great Thursday. May God Bless You and Yours.

    Hugs,
    Karen H.

  7. It is hard to mention ALL things we should be thankful for but your list is a very good one for us all to copy. I am so thankful that I was born in a country where FREEDOM is availible to all.

    Peace be with you.

    Karen,

I know you have been struggling this year and keep you and your family in my prayers daily. I appreciate you praying for Denise and Deena.

    Lady Di,

Yes, freedom is a blessing. As I grow older, I can see the Canadian government taking away more and more freedoms. I expect it is the same in the US. We need to pray each day for our leaders. Thanks for stopping by.

    bp,

Thanks so much for stopping by and for visiting the sites of Denise and Deena. I will be over to visit you as well.

    Ellen,

Thank you for your prayers for Denise and Deena. I appreciate it.

    Renie,

I am also thankful for nature and all the beautiful animals that live on our earth. What a drab world it would be without them. Thanks for your prayers. They're much appreciated.

    Lynn,

Thanks so much for visiting Denise. I appreciate it.

Many blessings to each of you. You are a group of friends for which I am thankful.

  18. It is late and I am just getting around to reading all the posts... there is so much to be thankful for but I am especially thankful for the authority that Jesus gave us..... Authority to pray and enter into the Holy of Holies in His name... Tonight I will pray for Denise and Deena....

I will learn how to do all these posties or stickies things one of these days... Maybe I will get in on the Thankful Thursday next week...

  21. A great list of thankfulness....as would be mine. Being thankful is a priority these days.

I had a friend just a few days ago tell me her son had just been laid off his job...right around the holidays! That makes me sad, but oh so thankful that I can put food on the table...the good guy above provides!!!!!

  22. Anni,

I will keep your friend's son in my prayers. It's bad enough being out of work, but at this time of year, it makes it much worse.

    Thanks for posting, my friend.
