Wow! It seems like Friday was just here and it's here again. It's time for Show and Tell, which is hosted by Kelli at There is No Place Like Home. If you would like to participate, just click on the link and Kelli will explain everything. Thanks, Kelli for hosting this. It's a lot of fun to see what others post.
The card depicts the Nativity. This is the inside, which is a pop-up. The stable is 3-D.
Thank you, Sharon. This card is so beautiful. It will be going into my card collection once that Christmas is over.
Well, that is Show and Tell for me for this week. I hope you enjoyed seeing my lovely angel and the beautiful card. Both of these things are very special to me. Love you, Sharon.
I promised to show some of you my Christmas angel. It was a gift from my husband last year. I love her. She stands 13 inches high and holds a dish for floating candles. The ones in the dish today are the roses that light up when you place them in water. They are lit, but it's very hard to tell. However, they are beautiful in the evening when the lights are turned low.
I received the most beautiful Christmas card today that I just have to tell about it. It is from Sharon at Sit With Me Awhile. Sharon is my Sister in Blood and I truly LOVE this card. The card depicts the Nativity. This is the inside, which is a pop-up. The stable is 3-D.
Thank you, Sharon. This card is so beautiful. It will be going into my card collection once that Christmas is over.

Good Morning Mary,
ReplyDeleteOh my, I love your Angel that your husband bought you last year. And for it to hold floating candles, it's just breathtaking. I'm a big fan of Candles myself. I have never seen anything like that before. I love the green candles floating in it. I bet it is beautiful at night lit up. I can just picture it now. That Christmas Card you got from Sharon is lovely also. I have never seen a Pop-Up Christmas Card before. I guess I live in the wrong part of the world. All of my blogging friends tend to have such beautiful things that I have never seen or heard of before. "THANK YOU" so much for sharing your Angel and Christmas Card with us today Mary. I thoroughly enjoyed it. "THANKS" for the nice comments about my "Show & Tell Friday" picture. I just thought it was a treasure to me. Well, take care my friend and have a great Friday. May God Bless You and Yours.
Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
Hi Mary! I just got the news that I won your contest!! Woo-hoo! How exciting! I guess having a young son helps, huh? :-)
ReplyDeleteI wasn't at work yesterday or this morning so just found this out. (Check out my blog in a little while for details as to why I haven't been at work.
Sending an e-mail your way soon!:-)
Karen,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the compliments on the angel. My husband bought her at Home Hardware. I'm not sure if you have those in your area, or even in the US.
I absolutely LOVE the card that Sharon sent. I used to see this as a child, but haven't seen them in many years. It brought back memories. Grandma always gave us pop up cards for our birthday and Christmas.
Take care, Karen. I certainly enjoyed your show and tell.
Blessings,
Mary
Kristen,
ReplyDeleteI will certainly look for your email. Congratulations!
Blessings,
Mary

Lynn,
ReplyDeleteI love angels of all kinds. Over the years I've been blessed by many earthly angels.
Tina,
I'm glad you enjoyed the show and tell this week. Enjoyed your visit, as always. We are going to get some of that Nor' Easter as well. Not looking forward to it.
Ellen,
Floating candles are my favorite type of candles. I think it's because Mom had some one Christmas when I was a child and they seemed magical.
Mari-Nancy,
Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed them.
Thanks to each of you for your comments and support.
Blessings,
Mary
I really love that angel, it is so cute. Sharon was really sweet for sending you that lovely card. I love you.
ReplyDeleteMary
ReplyDeleteThe Angel is very unusual and what a great candle holder.
I loved the fact about the visit by an Angel. As the saying goes NO ACT OF KINDNESS IS EVER WASTED.
Meeko was loving the snow and it would be nice to have been there to witnessed the snow ball game.
Most people do not even know how to operate a wood stove much less cook on one. My Grandma was also a pro at cooking.
My fondest memories were to get home from school after a very long school bus ride and find something she had baked in the bread warmer.
Peace
A very lovely thing to share with us. Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteDenise,
ReplyDeleteI love the angel and the card from Sharon is unique and beautiful. It will be added to my card collection after Christmas.
Thanks so much for visiting.
Blessings and love,
Mary
Lady Di,
ReplyDeleteI believe I have been visited by angels more than once in my life. Each time was when I was struggling in some way.
Thanks for your comments on the angel. She is a darling. A very treasured gift from hubby.
Wow! We really do have a lot in common. I used to get off the school bus on a cold winter day and run into Grandma's house. She would always have a hot cup of cocoa and a treat for us. The school bus stopped at the end of her lane and that was a great excuse to pay her a visit. Now that I have grandsons of my own, I know how much we meant to her and she to us.
Blessings,
Mary
Cindy,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. You're welcome anytime.

my daughter and her family. Take care
my friend, Love, Merle.
What a lovely angel! That must be a special man you've got. So ... do you two have plans for your upcoming Wedding Anniversary you'd like to share, or do we have to wait until after the fact?
ReplyDeleteSeeing the beautiful card reminds me I've got to get busy creating mine. I just don't have much inspiration yet this year ... and, of course, I'm spending way too much time wandering this virtual universe :)
Hugs and blessings,
Oh Mary, that card is simply gorgeous. The Angel floating candle holder is so sweet. I have never seen one of those before. I am going to have to keep my eyes open for one to add to my collection.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Mary....I'd think the card was awesome too. What a great friend.
ReplyDeleteAND, just to let you know, you had mentioned in my late afternoon blog that you sent an email to me? It never arrived. [You're not the only one ---another lady sent me one too and it never showed in my inbox.] Wanna re-send it if you will? Thanks.
Thank you so much for your comment in my entry, concerning Anna ~ Nature Girl making a returning post. And thank you so much for going over and leaving her a message!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to put in mine ~ "Please go leave her a message" but then, it sounded like I was being all *school marm-ish* yet again. -sigh- As I know I sound, at times. Yishhh.. So I didn't say it.
I hope many, many are sweet like you and go say something to her, without my saying it. And thus, avoiding sounding *school marm-ish* yet again. A double Win! Win!
Mari-Nanci
Oh Oh! You too have A Nor'Easter headed your way?!? I hope we both escape its worst effects.

It is so nice to get "that special card". So many fewer are sent these days. My mother used to send out 100 when it cost 2 cents each to mail them. I find buying sentiment cards very expensive these days.
ReplyDeleteMy brother had a 2008 calendar made with all our familie pictures on it. Inside days were noted that were important occasions every family member. It is a lovely gift and family treasure for years to come. He did this throught the program Shutterfly. I thought it was a great idea.
Hey girl-
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you got the card-I was wondering how long it would take for you to get it.
My sister in law was a little impressed that Paw Paw had gotten a card from someone he did not even know. There is something to that blood thing.:)

Ever wondered exactly how those contestants in bodybuilding competitions make their bodies look so
ReplyDeletespecified? Initially you could believe it's since they normally look this way or possibly due to how show business lights struck them however think it or not, body builders use sunless tanning or tanning creams in order to achieve that "challenging as granite" appearance, to display sharply-defined shoulders, arms and abs that the courts and audience admire a lot.
