Arrived Home Safely

We arrived home safely and dropped the boys off at about 11 pm. We had a wonderful time but home is where the heart is and I'm glad to be back. I have lots to tell you over the next few days and lots of photos to post as well. Thanks to all my friends for leaving such lovely comments while I was gone. I meant to post when we were leaving but the hotel computer was down for two days and I had to leave without letting you all know.

While I was gone my daughter, Michelle, found out that she has an ovarian cyst. The cyst has enveloped her entire right ovary. She text messaged Brandon to have me call her, so that wasn't good news and she was very upset and crying. I got her calmed down and phoned my mother to call her and talk to her, since she is right here in town. Michelle will undergo surgery for a hysterectomy on February 19th. Please pray that when the cyst is removed and the results come back that it is NOT cancerous. She saw her GYN on Wednesday and the tests they did show that the cyst is not leaking fluid. This is a good sign according to the doctor.

Tomorrow I will post the awards that you all gave me while I was gone and pass them on. I'll also post something about our vacation. I'm not sure if I'll get to the photos tomorrow. We'll see how things go. We have to unpack and get things here back on track. I'll be so glad to be posting and visiting again. ~Blessings, Mary~

Wow! You are up early this morning. I vowed I would sleep in, but didn't sleep that long. I may go back in a while and try to catch a catnap.

  12. Lynne,

Glad you've at least been to Disney once. It has lots of new attractions and was well worth seeing again. Magic Kingdom is much the same, but Epcot has changed considerably. We enjoyed our time at all the parks and also at Sea World.

Thank you for your kind comments and reassurance on Michelle's health.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  13. Lady Di,

We drove 14 hours yesterday to get home and everyone was very tired. The boys slept in the van, so that helped, but it was raining and the drivers were still doing crazy things, like cutting us off. Drives me insane when they do that.

Thanks for the prayers for Michelle. I will give her your message.

I do have lots of stories and photos to tell. We made a lot of memories on this trip that I hope the boys will reminsce about one day.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  14. Joan,

Yes, the Lord blessed us with a trip that was safe and without incident. He is so good. Angels were guiding our van and we had one little stuffed penguin as a mascot - more about that later.

Thank you for your prayers for Michelle. They are much appreciated. Prayer is so powerful. I tried to get on the hotel computer to post a prayer request but it was out of order.

You will definitely get a post later today about the trip.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  26. Mary,

I appreciate your prayers for Michelle. I'm sure she will be fine. I was talking to her tonight about her surgery and she seems to be fine with it. I think it was just a big shock in the beginning. I've been through it and am going to sign a release so her GYN can take a look at my records before the surgery date.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  27. Katherine,

Actually the only day I was cold was New Year's Day. It warmed up a little the next day but was still cold. After that we were very happy with the weather, as to us that is spring. Brandon has a difficult time with heat and so do I, so the temps were fine. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Thanks for thinking of us. I wish we could have met for a coffee or something.

    Blessings,
    Mary
