Tulips are blooming in my garden. I'm delighted that they have put forth a great showing of red and yellow to brighten up the yard. In the forefront is my out of control lavender. It will be all cut back on the first nice day. Seems like it's either windy and chilly or raining this week. Today was rain and tomorrow is to be rainy as well. Hopefully on the weekend, I can get a bit more done outside.
I haven't posted all week. I'm in a bit of a slump as far as writing is concerned and it's been quite quiet here, so not much to tell. I did get Assigment # 3 back and had a bit of rewriting to do. Now it's on to Assignment # 4, which is a non-fiction article for kids.
Have a wonderful Friday. ~Blessings, Mary~
Happy May Day Mary. I've been having trouble posting too...I need to find out where my Muse went..;D
ReplyDeleteI love tulips, and I love you my dear friend.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is May Day..:)
ReplyDeleteDon't worry Mary, I haven't posted anything all week - I took a long weekend in the mountains - the weather was and is so beautiful.
We all need a break from blogging every now and then.
The tulips are pretty!
Beautiful tulips. Do you leave them in the garden of you you cut them for the vase?
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Ann
My daffodils have not bloomed yet, let alone my tulips. I love my lavendar and rub some in my hands each time I am outdoors. Happy May!
ReplyDeleteI love these flowers!!!! Happy May Day to you.
ReplyDeleteA little to the east, we've had some pretty nice days this week.
ReplyDeleteOur first tulips have risked showing their faces for the first time as well.
ReplyDeleteBut they are not as advanced or a beautiful as your though.
Our tulips have been fabulous this year. We had one beautiful day this week, Wednesday. Now it is yucky again.
ReplyDeleteLove the flower garden, Mary. Normally, here -the few tulips, crocus and hyacinth plants we have in the house front flower beds are up and blossoming very nicely but not so this year. I think they may have come up a bit too early -fooled by a warm spell of Mother Nature's and then, getting smacked down by Mother Nature with a turn-around of nippy, nippy weather, including a bit of snow!
ReplyDeletePeace.
You enjoy your rest from posting...let your mind refill! :)
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are beautiful. If I had known you had too much lavender I would have had you send some to me. We are having a Mother daughter tea at church tomorrow and I wanted to make some sachets for the women with lavender. But when I went in to buy some they didn't have any because they said there had been some type of bug destroy the crop.
Anyway...enjoy yours!
Love ya girl
Love those tulips... I keep promising myself to plant more bulbs in the fall... I just had a few stragglers come up here and there... and I was surprised because tulips don't usually come back ..
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Mary! I planted some bulbs last week in pots, it's certainly cold enough here to germinated them but funnily enough I noticed some sprouting which is weird, they aren't meant to come up until spring in september.
ReplyDeleteYour tulips are beautiful. I never have any luck with them. Join the 7 picture books in 7 days challenge. I finished #1 today.
ReplyDeleteMay day..... forgot about that..... Happy May Day........ and I think there are a lot of us in a slump. soooo just hang in there.... The tulips are beautiful..... I am going to plant some this fall... That is the right time to plant is it not?
ReplyDeletehave a blessed weekend girl.. rest your mind......

ReplyDeleteBeautiful tulips, so cheery.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up on The Disney movie. Your May to do list will keep you busy.
Blog world seems to be going awry. We are all looking for our muse. At least you can post these beautiful photographs of your garden.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, dear Mary:-)
ReplyDeleteThe weather has been rainy and cold here as well...only 3c right now! My tulips haven't opened yet but they should be soon if the temps ever warm up! lol Yours are beautiful!! I've never attempted to grow Lavender, I wonder if it would grow here.
I know how hard it is to post when nothing much is happening, I've been struggling a bit with that as well!
Hope your weekend is a wonderful one, my friend. xoxo
Hi Mary,
ReplyDeleteYour tulips are so cheery and springlike! I only post about once a week now and that seems to work OK most of the time. I like to have the posts as sort of a photo journal of the "week that was" so am trying to keep it up.
How is your knee doing?? Hope it's beginning to feel a bit better as the days warm up.
xo
The tulips are so pretty. Enjoy them.
