Vignettes of Autumn

Here are a few vignettes of what the countryside here in southern Ontario is looking like as of Wednesday.

The colour is just beginning to show. By next week it should be more prominent and by Canadian Thanksgiving, which is October 12th, the colours should be at their peak.

I'm a bit under the weather with sinisitis and ear infection, so haven't been posting or visiting. I wish everyone a fun and safe weekend.

  1. It's looking a lot like Michigan. Sinusitis is no fun. Hope you feel better quickly my friend!

  3. Those pictures could turn into some beautiful paintings if you'd take out your acrylics!!! [kidding!!] They're some super photographs. I do hope you'll feel better soon.

  4. Good morning dear Mary:-)

I do hope you're starting to feel better, my friend. The autumn colours are just starting around here too and as you say, by our Thanksgiving they should be in their full glory:-) It's no wonder I love this time of year!! xoxo

  5. Well, down here in the southern US, our peak is usually the second week in November. Happy Thanksgiving. Feel better soon,

  6. I hope you feel better really soon! It hasn't changed to much here but it will in a couple of weeks. It is only 66 degrees here today so that is perfect! I really think I will like Facebook! Finding friends I haven't heard from forever!! Hugs Grams

  7. Beautiful photos, Maya -simply beautiful!
On the illness route -seems to have made a pass through our house today. I had a really rough late morning/early afternoon with every freaking joint in my body aching, a yuck sinus type headache in full bloom and my lower intestine decided to go to work full-speed ahead too. Then by mid-afternoon it must have hit Kurtis as he upchucked all over Mandy and all over my bed and every blanket, quilt, sheet and pillow on there! Thank goodness that Mandy had put a rubber cover over the mattress -because Maya sleeps with me ya know -or that would have taken a direct hit too! But, thankfully, whatever it was seems now to have left him -and me too -as he's acting more his normal self and I'm only dealing with the constant low-grade back aches now. A big improvement for both of us!
    Peace.

  8. Hope you are feeling better soon dear friend.

The leaves are accumulating in the yard, and the garden is almost finished producing. Seems as if fall is here whether we want it or not.

    God bless.
