Not a whole lot has been happening here. The boys came on Saturday and I took them to Se*ars to buy them Easter clothes. Jordan is real fussy about what he wears. Brandon is particular because certain fabrics irriate him. We didn't find a thing. LOL So much for buying clothes. So we looked around a bit in the mall and then came here and spent some time together.
Thank you to all who have commented on Josh's accident, for the prayers and positive thoughts. As of last night, there has been no change. He is still unconscious and I suspect that some of it is because the hospital staff is keeping him sedated. They did take him off of morphine and put him on Demerol. Both are very potent drugs. He is resting comfortably and breathing on his own. His sternum is cracked, which will make it very painful when he does awaken. He has a long road ahead of him, I fear.
Other than that, all is well. I'm tired from trying to keep my brother, Ed, and Mom focused on the positive. Everyone is doing as well as can be expected.
Thanks once again for all the positive words of support. Wishing you all a wonderful day.
I love you sweetie.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a blessing to all those around you. You are always helping your grandkids, hubby, daughter and Mom. Now you are trying to keep your brothers attitude good. It's no wonder you are tired!
ReplyDeleteHello Mary
ReplyDeleteHaven't commented for a while but just wanted to say I'm thinking of you and wondering about the stress on you and your family as you seem to be 'carrying' your extended family. I do hope they appreciate how much you are giving to them. Love to you at this special time of the year
I was gone shopping yesterday afternoon to find myself something to wear for Easter...found pants at Hart's and top at WalMart. I shocked myself that it was so easy, usually I can never find clothes I like. lol Hopefully the boys can still find Easter clothes they like:-)
ReplyDeleteMy prayers continue for Josh and as you say, he certainly does have a long road of recovery ahead of him but he's alive and that's what counts.
You are so busy taking care of others, make sure you also take the time to take care of YOU my friend. xoxox
I'm thankful for Josh that he is not feeling the pain. The other young man (I know his family, but haven't met him) has been sedated for two weeks and will probably be kept under for another two weeks. !His name is Ben, if you want to add another hurting family to your list!
ReplyDeleteThat is a good report on Josh...... breathing on his own and change of pain meds....... I am praying and will keep coming back to see how things are........... Please pray for Dad.. his is not well.......
ReplyDeleteLove ya girl !!!!!!
Happy Easter.
I sorry for these hard times.
ReplyDeletewhen a loved one is in the hospital it puts everything else on hold.
