Christmas Spirit Award

There are so many beautiful people in this community. Those whom I've met are loving, giving and reach out to others that are struggling with health issues, walking through dark valleys and who need a friend to just listen. Many of these people I now call friend. Please know that I appreciate every one of you.

Christmas is a time of giving and a time of joy and friendship. It is the one time each year when we stop and take a moment to reflect on the birth of Jesus. In the Spirit of Christmas and giving, I would like to present my friends and readers this Spirit of Christmas button. Everyone is welcome to take a copy. All I ask is that you continue to show the Spirit of Christmas and reach out to those who are in need of a kind word.

  8. Anni,

Thanks for your very kind words on my blog. I decided to decorate it early. I wish the house looked anywhere near as good. I'm waiting patiently to see the photos of all of your Santas.

I was just scrolling down and how wonderful that you had articles published by Guideposts! I use to read that magazine, even as a teen...it was so uplifting!
    Blessings!

(Oh, and I always have trouble getting animation on my blog, so I may have to e-mail you, too!)

Thanks for the kind words on the stories I've had published. I can say my childhood dream has come true. I always dreamed of being a published author.

We still have a bit of snow here and there. It's been sunny during the day and most of it has melted. I'm sure we'll have more.

Thanks for dropping by. I certainly have missed you while you've been busy. Love you, my friend.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  22. Good Evening Mary,
Hope this finds you doing good. I didn't post today. Hubby had to leave late this afternoon and I had to do laundry so he would have clean work clothes. I also cooked him a good late lunch. I hope to post tomorrow. Hopefully things will get back to normal tomorrow. I've got quite a bit of traveling to do this week at nights. My oldest daughter has 2 basketball games, one on Monday night and one on Tuesday night. They are both away and a little drive from where we live. She may possibley have one again Wednesday night. "THANK YOU" so much for the "Christmas Spirit Button" Mary. You are a great friend that I have come to know as well. I really appreciate the button and you also. I so enjoy reading your posts. I will need the HTML code emailed to me. I'm still new at this stuff and it is a bit challenging. I put my Christmas Header on a little while ago, but I don't know how to get it to go all the way across. LOL. I emailed Diane to let her know. She is still probably at Church. Well, take care my friend and have a Blessed Evening. May God Bless You and Yours. "THANKS AGAIN MARY"!

    Hugs,
    Karen H.

  23. Carolyn,

I'm glad Karen will help you. You might want to get her to learn you how to copy and paste. It is very simple once you know how.

Glad you like the button. I look forward to seeing on your page.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  24. Hi Mary, I do copy and paste!! I did learn how this summer!!! I just did something wrong on the e mail and she will figure it out and tell me what I did wrong!!

When I started bloging in June I could not do one thing!! Sandy over at Flip Flop Flooize's taught me all kinds of things!!! She would e mail me how to do stuff!!
She was like Diane is to Karen H. to me!!
When I started blogging I landed in
the nicest part of Blogland you could find!! Every one has been so nice to me! and helpful!!
I just don't know how to go to the e mail and get a icon!!
I think it is so neat the way you and Hootin Anni are doing awards where you just give them to all your reader and don't have to choose any one!! This is way Cool as Kelly would say! Love and Hugs Carolyn

  25. Mary I did it myself!! I figured out what on earth I was doing wrong!! When I left here I thought Copy and Paste!! OK!! I bet I treated it like an icon you put inside your pictures and that is what I did!! I just went back to my mail box and Copied and pasted what you said to and presto the buton was on my side bar!! Now I feel dumb face turning red!! Oh well, now I have your lovely button and all is well! You just hate for people to know how dense I can be!!!! Love and Hugs Grams

    ReplyDelete
  26. Gram,

You are not dense at all. I'm glad that copy and paste rung a bell and you were able to get the graphic on your sidebar. You are a genius!!!

I didn't come online until 1998 and have learned a lot since then. I am still learning everyday. I'm glad that Sandy helped you out. I certainly don't know it all, but if I can ever help you out, just let me know.

Now, I'm going to surf on over to your blog to see what you've done. Congratulations.

  29. That is a wonderful button - I have a "Jesus is the Reason for the Season" pin with Santa kneeling by the manger, too. It's so true that we've become such good friends through this venue. My husband gets kind of amused with me when I talked about my blog friends as if I see them every day - which I kind of do!

    Have a great week!

  30. Wow, you have written articles for Guideposts!! Impressive. I love that magazine. Haven't gotten any for awhle. I need to re-subscribe. I like the other one they have, too. about Angels.

I'll email you about the HTML code. Thanks.

  31. Denise,

I've sent you the HTML code and hope that it doesn't give you any trouble. So far everyone has received it fine and I'm hoping Diane will be able to give you a hand.

    Dawn,

This is a wonderful community compared to the last one I joined. Yes, we've become friends and there are so many friends out there in blogland. My husband is used to me talking about my online friends. He just asks, "Is that a new friend?" LOL

    Shari,

Thanks for your comments about Guideposts. They are an awesome publication. I do hope you will subscribe once again.

You are welcome to mail me for the code.

Thank you, Ladies, for dropping by. How lovely to find so many messages from friends waiting for me this morning.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  33. Wow
I am honored to have such a talented writer as a friend. I will make notes and go later and read some. I probably read some of your stories before as I try to keep Guidepost on hand. I have come back to life and now have almost read most of the blogs I missed out on.
Loved the pictures and how much fun you have with the grandsons. If they were here they would get wet all over again.
Sometimes I can copy and paste and other times I just do not hold my mouth correctly.
    Peace be with you.

  34. Akelamalu,

I think I've sent you the code. If not, please email me. A senior moment.

    Lady Di,

The boys were getting wet here all weekend. Today they were getting wet again. Just this evening it has changed to rain and snow mixed. We're hoping that it changes to snow so we don't get the freezing rain that's predicted.

Thank you, Ladies, for commenting. Take care.
    Blessings,
    Mary
