Green Thumb Sunday

Join Green Thumb Sunday

It's time for Green Thumb Sunday. It is a time when we share with you something growing in our garden or our home. If you would like to participate, please visit Tricia, at How the Garden Grows. Please visit others who are participating to see the beautiful plants that they are growing.

This is a photo of a bloom from one of the peonies that grow in my garden each spring. This is the palest pink one. I have a bright pink one and a red one, also. I don't know which is my favorite. They are all so pretty.

Thank you for dropping in to see my Green Thumb Sunday post. Have a wonderful day. Blessings, ~Mary~

  1. I have one peonies bush that grows at the back of the house and the blooms are the exact same pink as yours:-) They are such beautiful flowers, aren't they...just a shame they don't last longer than they do! I'd love to get another one in a different colour, may look for one next Spring. Have a wonderful Sunday dear Mary! xoxo

  3. Pea,

This one is paler than the other pink one. They are beautiful. This year mine didn't last long at all. Just after they bloomed, we had a heavy rain storm and all of the petals became waterlogged and fell off.

I hope you have a great Sunday as well.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  4. Lorian,

Yes, peonies are beautiful. They come in several shades of pink, white and red. I think that is all. Mom had all of these colors in her garden when I was growing up.

    Thanks so much for visiting.
    Blessings,
    Mary

  5. Good Afternoon Mary,
Your Pink Peonies are just beautiful. I bet the others ones a just as beautiful. I'm like you, the colors sound all so pretty that I think all of them would be my favorites. Thanks for sharing them with us. It's still another foggy day and starting to rain. Well, take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

    Love & Hugs,
    Karen H.

  8. Karen,

If you remind me next year, I will be glad to send you a root. Then you can plant it in your garden.

  9. Denise,

Peonies have such a lovely fragrance and this one has more than the others. The red ones aren't as fragrant as the pinks.

    Thanks for dropping by.
    Blessings,
    Mary

  16. Michele,

I've heard that your area is getting ice. If so, please stay safe.

I'm glad that your mother has lots of beautiful flowers in her garden. It would be nice to see photos of her flowers.
