After finding what I wanted for them, I browsed in the garden section of the store. There, I found a garden fairy. The one I had last year was broken when Meeko went into the garden and got his lead wrapped around it. He knocked it over and broke the wings off. I have the pieces and may see if I can repair it.
This fairy looks as if she is up to mischief. She's not as big as my other one and she is in grayish-green tones. The other was flesh colored. I'm not sure if I should attempt to paint this one or leave her as she is.
After that, I stopped in at the dollar store to pick up a couple of things. While there, I found another delightful garden ornament.
These two frogs and their little pad have chains to use for hanging. I can picture these cute little guys hanging on the back stairs. The little pad is scooped so birdseed can be placed in it. The birds will be eating out of the cute little dish this summer or maybe it will be squirrels, but something will be eating birdseed out of it.
I enjoyed getting out, even though I was only gone for a little over an hour. The temperature was 9C --about 48 F. It was a nice spring day, though a little damp. I hope you were able to enjoy a bit of pleasant weather. Enjoy your weekend. ~Blessings, Mary~
I love the little frog. I know the boys will love their gifts...m...

Good morning Mary,
ReplyDeleteYour Garden ornaments are beautiful. Me and hubby went yesterday afternoon to our local dollar General Store and bought some things for my flower garden. i bought a few garden ornaments as well. I'm going to wait until i have my flower garden all fixed up with the ornaments in there and take a picture adn then show it. The fairy is adorable. I do like the color of it and I'm sure it will blend in well with your flowers. It was nice here yesterday but we got some rain again overnight and more for later today and tonight. Take care my friend and ahve a great day and weekend. May GOD BLess you adn yours. I'm glad yo were able to get out of the house for while. It does a person good to be ble to get out.
Love,
Karen H.
A little spring fever going on, eh?
ReplyDeleteI have always like fairies and that ornament does justice to my mental image of them. I have a little dragonfly ornament which holds a bit of water. It is very popular with little birds in the summer who want a drink and prefer not to be out in the open using my birdbath.
ReplyDeleteIf it's like here, the squirrels will try to beat out the little birdies for the treats. They are so greedy!
ReplyDeleteLove the fairy just like she is.
Neat ornaments and I await photos of their resting place outside in your gardens. Peace
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love that garden faerie:-) I can just picture her crawling through your flowers this summer and seeing what she can get into! hehe I've seen those frog/lilypad hangers and they are adorable. I love yard decorations and am looking forward to getting mine out but it won't be for another couple of months yet. It's cloudy, snowing and 1c here today...bleck! lol Have a wonderful day my friend. xoxo
ReplyDeleteCute garden things you bought! It has rained most of this day, so I stayed inside.
ReplyDeleteI love both of them! I have some frogs in my yard and wish I had a fairy!
ReplyDeleteI love the frog! I have a few of the little frog houses (or whatever you call them) among my flower beds.
ReplyDeleteI saw some Fairies when I went to Hobby Lobby on Friday.
ReplyDeleteWe are having a cold snap after the storms moved through yesterday. It is going to be 55 degrees they say but is in the 40s this morning. Tonight we dip inot the 30s again. We will have to cover the Banana trees that Honey Bear set out.
