This morning the kitchen ceiling looked like this. I went and picked the boys up around 11am, we took Dakota to the dog park and then we came home to have lunch and get the work underway.
Work in progress. Here's hubby taking down some of the old tile.
And Brandon, with his safety goggles on to keep all foreign matter out of his eyes. The new tile are standing against the refrigerator, waiting for Jordan to hand them to Grandpa.
Brandon, taking a break and enjoying a soda. Jordan took this photo.
The ceiling is done and what a difference it makes to the kitchen. It only took the guys about 2 hours to complete the job. Brandon took the old tile from hubby and took them outside. Jordan watched Dakota so he wouldn't get out and then handed hubby the new tile. Thanks guys. Your hard work paid off. The ceiling looks terrific.
Mary - I'm so happy for you. It looks wonderful!
ReplyDeletefantastic!
ReplyDeleteMary the ceiling looks great but I have to tell you, those boys did an amazing job in helping you. Hearts of gold I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteI didn't mean to leave your husband out of the equation. You'd never know he had trouble with his heart just a short while ago. Nice job to all of you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a difference the new tiles make! It looks great, and that 2 hours was well spent. :o)
ReplyDeleteHappy new week, Mary.
Love and hugs,
Diane
Hi Mary, when I save up enough for material, may I borrow your three "boys" and fix my kitchen ceiling.
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky. Hope you baked an apple pie to pay them for their hard work.
That was a big job, and now it's all done for you! Looks like you had some good helpers there! You have two terrific grandsons, Mary. Most kids would be off somewhere playing ball or goofing off. You are very fortunate, indeed! Your new ceiling looks so fresh and clean! Beautiful job from all three boys! Oh, and I LOVE your new header!!! Absolutely darling!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome and Brandon seems to be enjoying himself too :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh....oh my gosh!!! What a beautiful, awesome job of work the guys did!!! I love it. I bet it brightens up the kitchen already!!
ReplyDeleteThey boys did a super job. High five!!
Wow...love the red against the white. It is amazing what two hours of work can do. Looking forward to the finished product..I know you'll be so happy when it is done.
ReplyDeleteGood job......... I bet it is much lighter in there and a place that you love to go.. We are going to paint all our cabinets this winter... I cannot wait....... Those boys are such a blessing to you..........
ReplyDeleteHi Miss Mary,
ReplyDeleteThose boys are a joy, seems they are always ready to help out. Being able to change things around is so much fun, like having a whole new room. One of our big jobs will be gutting the whole kitchen. I keep my eye open for new cupboards, I want the old glass front ones. I have pictures at the various Habitat for Humanity stores just in case they get some in. Good luck with all your plans.
Wow! Amazing difference..out with the old, in with the new!
ReplyDeleteBreeze
Looks good!
ReplyDeleteMama Bear
What a huge difference! It really lightens it up, doesn't it. Good job, workers!
ReplyDeleteDJ spins out on Saturday nights. Anna had been looking through my phone while I was naked.
ReplyDeleteThe decline of the East side blues scene was disheartening, but, it also gave rise to the need
for a fresh start, which came in the form of the next blues-only venue, Antone's, founded by the late Clifford Antone, during the summer of 1975.
