A Busy Weekend

The boys came about 1:30 pm on Saturday and we headed for a couple of flea markets. We discovered all kinds of neat things there and I got a few bargains. A zip*loc bag of vintage stainless steel knives, forks and spoons. I'm really short of table utensils right now and the price was perfect. Brandon said, "I hope you're going to bleach those before you use them." I told him yes, they would be bleached. They know how much I like a bargain. Where are you going to get a full set of tableware for $4.00 and they are nice heavy ones.

After spending two hours scouring the flea markets we came back here and had dinner. Then we watched Night at the Museum 2 ...Battle of the Smithsonian. It was good, but I liked the first one better. I'm not one for sequels. They never seem to be as good as the original.

This morning we got Michelle's birthday presents wrapped and ready to take to her when I took the boys home. They each had made her a pendant out of a domino and a set of elephant coasters. I gave her Zena Warrior Princess Season 4. That is the last one she needed. I've been buying them for her for a few years. She loved all the gifts. Tomorrow she will be 41. Where have all the years gone?

Both yesterday and today were sunny and a little milder. It's nice to have a break from the frigid temperatures.

Have a wonderful week.

Never finding fleas, but a few roaches here and there. [just kidding]

I saw the wonderful find you got...the green and blue glass...it's gorgeous.

If you have time...stop by and say hi. I know you're busy. [did you see my cheetah pencil sketch?]

  8. I agree, the sequel never seems as good as the first movie. You had a lovely weekend and a great find on the silverware.

    God bless.

  10. We don't have any flea markets here right now. I haven't seen any garage sales either. When the weather gets better they will start up again and I hope to get to a few.
You did get a great buy in the flatware. I think it's cute that Brandon asked if you were going to bleach it. LOL!

  13. Oh how I love a good flea market! I always go to the big 10 acre one when I go to Florida and just about walk my legs off but it's fun! I bet you got some nice silverware if it is heavy, it will look nice all shined up! Not too many around here but some on the coast that we can go to in the summer time.

I'm not into sequels either, they never seem to be as good and Night at the Museum wasn't. I loved the first one.

Not much snow here. We are missing all of the snow that Washington DC is getting. In fact we need some snow to cover up the ice and dirt!
