Battle of the Weight

Wow! I haven't posted here for quite some time. I didn't realize that it had been that long. I've not been on blogger to visit friends, either. I really need to take time to do that within the next few days.

As for the Battle of the Weight, I lost 16 pounds rather quickly and then hit a plateau. I knew it would come and was dreading it, but it hasn't been so bad. In the last two weeks, I haven't lost pounds, but have lost inches, so that is just as good. My jeans are constantly needing to be pulled up. A few more pounds and I will need to either have them taken in or buy new ones.

So, the Battle of the Weight continues. Weigh in day is Friday and I will try to post my success or lack of it on Saturday.

Hope all my friends and readers are doing well. I'm very busy but keeping out of trouble.

  1. Your St Patrick's Day decor is so crisp and clean. Reminds me of a freshly mowed yard after a good rain. Kind of gives me a boost by saying 'Spring is right around the corner'. Have a great rest of the week Mary.

  2. I LOVE the feeling of loose jeans! And the feeling of getting back into slacks that I've hung onto. It'll start moving again soon!

  5. Congratulations on your weight loss! Ive been dieting since Jan. and have lost 20 pounds so far. I already feel better. I have set three goals for myself. The first one was to lose 20 pounds, my next two goals are to lose 10. I find it not so overwhelming to have seperate smaller goals. Good luck and keep up the good work!

  6. Keep up the good work....I usually start with loosing inches before the pounds start showing. I know it can be discouraging...but how fantastic that you can see the inches going.
Life has been incredibly busy here too....so I know about a lack of time here on the computer. But you know we are still here...stop in when you can. :)

  12. My exercise is going great but I have hit a mild plateau myself at 7 lbs lost. I can see the continued loss of inches however and that is what I'm after. Fitness and raising my good cholesterol is what I'm after. Good luck to both of us.

  13. I've lost fat cells in one area only for them to show up in a new area! You go girl!

I tellya, I've tried emailing friends online, but the yahoo still isn't working properly. I can rec've emails but when I reply it just comes to a stand still. And if it does go through, in no time it comes back to my inbox 'sender demon failure notice'. I'm just giving up emailing for the time being.

Hope your days are busy and fun instead of grueling and work!! Miss your emails.

  16. Hello Mary
Soon - with a bit of luck you'll be able to tell us about a loss of more pounds and ounces and also inches.
I once got told a plateau is not really a bad thing -its just the body adjusting and getting used to the amount of food and exercise you are eating/doing. You could eat more or exercise more, just do something different and it seems to restart the metabolism and getit going again
