Memory Verse Monday and a Wonderful Surprise in the Mail

It's Memory Verse Monday and Karen at Karen's Ramblings is our host. If you would like to participate, just follow the link to find out how.

This week I've chosen the following verse:

Luke 1:37: "For with God nothing shall be impossible."

How true this is. At times we are overwhelmed with the heavy burdens of life. We worry ourselves into a tizzy wondering how we are going to cope. If only we would just turn all things over to God, for with God nothing is impossible. God can heal the broken hearted and the sick. He can take our worries and turn them around to glorify His name.

God spoke to my heart this morning. He reminded me that there are several of my friends who are in pain and suffering from illness. He showed me this promise from the King James Version of His Word. I will hold all of you up in prayer this week as I use this verse to further my walk with God.
A while back, I put my name into a giveaway at Bears in Exile. This was a one year of blogging giveaway and the prizes looked delightful. I was so surprised when I received an email saying that I had won. Wow! It's not often that I win something and I was delighted.

Yipee! The parcel arrived this morning and I was ecstatic. It was a lovely basket filled with all kinds of wonderful goodies and so well packed with red tissue paper and bubble wrap to keep the contents safe on their long journey. (Thank you, Mama Bear.)

Let me show you the beautiful things I received.

A beautiful basket, a journal by Debbie Mumm, a magnetic notepad by Debbie Mumm, note cards by Debbie Mumm, a Hallmark Keepsake Santa ornament, a handmade angel ornament, Irresistable apple body lotion by Bath and Body Works Pleasures, a 28 month planner, a pair of warm and cozy slippers, an angel bookmark with blue beads and a snowman pot holder.

I was speechless. Such a lovely gift. Here are a couple more shots:

Thank you, Mama Bear. I love all of it and the angel is so special because you made her. It is such a lovely gift and I will treasure all of the items, always. Thanks so much for hosting the giveway. Blessings, ~Mary~

  4. Denise,

I hope you are feeling much better, my friend. I keep you constantly in my thoughts and offer prayers for both you and Deena throughout my day. Be sure to get lots of rest and follow the doctor's orders and don't be afraid to call on the Great Physician.

  5. What a wonderful basket of goodies, a surprise like that just gladdens the heart doesn't it? That is a very powerful verse you have chosen and I am glad for the reminder - a while back I would be feeling restricted or limited and I would meditate on this verse and truth and would feel so lifted up, all restrictions gone and a joy in my Spirit - nothing is impossible with God. Thanks for sharing that. Enjoy your lovely goodies!

  6. Karen,

I'm glad that you were uplifted by this verse. It is so profound. Recently I went through a few days of depression and this verse plus a few others put satan in his place. The depression lifted quickly and hasn't returned.

Enjoyed your visit. I hope to see you again soon.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  7. Good Afternoon Mary,
WOW, what a powerful verse. I needed to hear that today. I've had kind of a bad morning and this hit home. God will see up thru if we just let him. I can't talk about it right now, but I ask that you remember me and my family right now. I would so appreciate it. You are a wonderful woman Mary. Congratulations on the giveaway. The items are just beautiful. I love the cards and everything else. The angel is adorable as well. Homemade things tend to be more special I believe. I'm glad you won it. I've never won anything either. But, I've only been blogging for a little over 2 months. We had a cold morning here. It was 30 degrees with a windchill of 24 degrees earlier. A far cry from the 68 degrees we had yesterday. The wind is blowing some too making it feel colder. Well, take care Mary and have a great Monday. May God Bless You and Yours.

    Hugs,
    Karen H.

  15. Oh, I just finished baking 18 loaves of pumpkin bread for my Christmas blessing. I plan on decorating the packaging tonight and delivering them tomorrow. I was going to freeze them but they will be so much better fresh and they won't have to compete with sweets later on.

God is so good! He is with us always.

Thanks for the comments on the giveaway treats. I LOVE them. What a beautiful gift basket Mama Bear put together. She is so sweet.

18 loaves? That is a lot, but the recipients will enjoy them so much now when there aren't so many treats around. You are an amazing woman.

  18. Mary, the verse you chose is so true. I would have a much easier time of it in these hurry up days if I would just take the time to pray and give it all over to him. He only wants us to ask.
Have a great day and evening.
    Mama Bear

Wow, now that's what I call a lovely package to receive in the mail:-) Look at all the wonderful goodies you won, congratulations:-) I so enjoyed reading your two previous posts also and loved the pictures. Meeko is just gorgeous and he sure looked like he was having fun with the snow:-) Our snow has finally stopped falling but it's been so windy and cold all day...they haven't snowplowed our street yet and I can see the cars having to drive veryyyy carefully. I'm hoping I can go out tomorrow, starting to get cabin fever after being stuck inside for more than 3 days! lol Take care dear friend. Love you! xoxo

  22. Pea,

We are getting more snow tonight, but am not sure how much it's going to be. They were calling for another 10 centimeters, but I'm hoping not. Of course the wind is out of the east, so anything can happen.

Meeko just loves the snow. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos.

    Take care, dear friend.

    Blessings,
    Mary
