Sorry I didn't get to post anything about our trip today. It's been a rough day. First thing this morning my mother-in-law phoned to ask us to take her to the airport. She's been in town since coming back from Florida with her friend just after Christmas. This was a big surprise because we didn't even know she was in town. So, we hurried to pick her up and get her there on time. After that hubby and I had errands to run. We stopped at Wal M*art and picked up a few things and came home for lunch. That wasn't so bad until we found out the printer wasn't working and I needed to print out some documents. We knew it was on it's last legs, but the timing for it to give up entirely was real bad. So off we went to St*ples and was able to find one at a reasonable cost. I came home and uninstalled the old printer and installed the new one. For the next three hours I struggled to get it to work properly. Finally, success.
I dislike new technology. It seems I just get used to one thing and then it has to be replaced. So, in order not to complain and whine, I will say goodnight. I will do my best to upload more photos of the trip tomorrow. I hope all of you had a wonderful day.

Technology can be quite time consuming! Glad you got it hooked up - tomorrow should be better.

ReplyDeleteI hate to hear about the Printer, but glad you got you another one at a reasonable price. I know, I don't like the new technology either. Just like you, you get used to something and then it's outdated. I don't have a printer hooked up to my computer anymore. We have one, but the Ink for it is so expensive. I did tell hubby I would like it hooked up again just so I can scan pictures on it. He will get to it when he wants to I guess. It's not a big deal. Take care my friend and have a great day. Oh ya........tell me!!! I hate it when that happens. What irritates me now-a-days is that the well known fact that the new computers with the Vista installed, nothing you have from Windows XP works/or is compatible.

I finally got around to replacing the driver for my scanner/printer 'cause when I got the new computer, it didn't work...It took two days to get it to work for me the way it's supposed to work.
Hope your continues to work now...anything new tho, is cool. How bad is that? I sound like a selfish kid with that remark. LOL

Well, Ladies, I got the new printer working as it should be and so am loving it now. I just dislike changing from that which I know to something new. Once the transition is made, I enjoy new things as much as anyone.

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. I understand that it is good for the brain to learn how to do new things, but if I had my "druthers", I'd druther learn something besides how to keep the computer, peripherals, and software on speaking terms with one another!!
