Rainy and Chilly

Yes, it's raining and cool again. I'm not sure where spring was, but she didn't visit our neck of the woods too many days. Soon we will be into the hot days of summer. It is to be 29 degrees Celsius here by Wednesday and that is 85 Fahrenheit. That is a little too warm for me. I would prefer 70 to 75 degrees all year round.

I have my three Pay it Forward recipients. They are:

Airman Mom

Pea from Pea's Corner

Hootin' Anni

Thank you, Ladies. The Pay it Forward last year was a lot of fun and I'll start looking for the perfect gift for each of you. It will arrive some time in the next year.

If you would like to participate, look for these lady's posts and join in the fun, or visit Denise at Life at My House. She is still looking for a couple of people as well.

  1. We're having lots of thunderstorms in the afternoons, but not heavy rains. It's been in the 80s this week before it clouds up in the afternoons. I agree with you - I could do 70s and low 80s all summer.

  4. Regarding tires again - we have road hazard insurance which would cover those pesky screws, etc. Good thing, since I always seem to find anything that's in the road!

  6. Dang! I do, I DO wish it would rain here. You lucky gal, you!!

Now, if you want 70-75 temps...move to Hawai'i! It never gets hotter than that. And rarely goes below 60 at night.

  7. I will trade y'all some HOT & HUMID, 96 degrees with a heat index of 105 for some rainy and chilly. We have been having those days where you wear the air. Prince and I dug up some raspberries for a friend to take to her farm late yesterday evening and we both looked like we had been in a rain shower with no water. Take care. Peace

  8. You're so right about the crappiness of the weather this spring! This week, it rained -hard -on Wednesday, thus canceling out the picnic for the kids at an amusement park about 35 miles from here for the kids who get therapy from this agency. Thursday was supposed to be the rain date for said picnic but that petered out too with showers, off and on all day. (What else would you expect from a "rain date" though?) And today, well thus far, no rain but just dark and cool. Not my kind of weather for spring, much less an entry into summer.

  12. Your rainy picture is so pretty and realistic. Nearly made me shiver! We are getting rain too but it is badly needed. My garden will really get a boost!

I transplanted several dozen pole bean plants by my fence this afternoon and they weill like the rain too.

I know hotter temps are coming but like you I prefer a nice 70. I got my fan down from upstairs so I'm ready!
    Have a blessed weeek end.

  13. We have had a cool spring also, but it's very nice today so far.
    My husband is cutting hay.
You've got to make hay while the sun shines.

  15. wow,
we could sure use some rain down our way... it has been so dry here...and our watering is restricted to one day a week between 12 midnight and 6 am...
now who wants to get up in the middle of the night to water???
so of course our grass is very dry...
