What's Happening on Saturday

It's going to be a busy day here again. All week I've been busy, busy, running errands and trying to get rid of things we haven't used in some time. How does this stuff get so out of hand? Seems like I did this last year, yet I'm finding things we haven't used in at least two years. I'm also going to be thinning out my vintage items. I have collected too many things over the years. Some of it needs to go.

Weigh-in day for me is Friday. I lost another two pounds. I was ecstatic. The weight usually goes on and is hard to take off, yet in the last 7 weeks, I've lost 12 pounds. I still have a long way to go, but I'm happy and still working toward my goal.

The boys are coming today and we're going to hit some fleamarkets and thrift shops. If we find anything good, I'll post photos.

Have a wonderful weekend.

  3. Hello Mary
Oh dear, if we didn't know what goes on in your life we'd think you were strange - in the first paragraph you are talking about clearing the house of surplus goods and then in the last talking about looking for new 'stuff' - LOL - of course it will be for sale and not for the house - or will it........... lol
Great going with the weight loss - losing slowly (about half a kilo/one pound) a week is what is recommended so looks like you are on target.
    Take care

  4. Yay again on your weight loss! :o)

I'm still doing some cleaning and decluttering too, as well as 10 loads of laundry over the last 3 days. Some of that was bed linens and stuff that wasn't really dirty but just needed to be washed and freshened up.

I'm working on my Sunday Dinner post and need to find a bite for supper, but otherwise my only plans for the evening are to study my Sunday School lesson, take my shower, make a pot of hot tea and play on my laptop until bedtime.

    Enjoy your weekend, Mary. :o)

    Love and hugs,

    Diane

  6. great job. I admire you for your steadfastness.

This week, I thought I would go on a 3 day fruit fast. It was so hard, first day, it was ok. But the grumbing sound of my stomach kept me awake. The second day, I snuck in 1/2 a bowl of rice. The third day, I had a bread roll. Can't say I was successful.

  7. Jealous of everything! Your success with the weight loss and the fact that your weather allows you to get out to flea markets, etc. Someday it will happen again here.

  8. I love you wolf and native Canadian motif in your header.

Aren't you brave to make your efforts at weight loss a public affair. Hopefully this will be added incentive. Good luck.
