Sunday

I thought Sunday was to be a day of rest. LOL Well, this morning was quiet, but this afternoon, hubby and I went shopping for Jordan's birthday. He had showed me exactly what he wanted...a chair for himself. We saw it last week when we went to Sta*ples to pick up supplies. I talked to his mother about it and neither she nor I could figure out why a 13 year old would want an office chair for his birthday, but then Jordan has always been different than most kids.

Hubby and I went and got the chair and took it to their house. Brandon and hubby put it together in about 20 minutes and Jordan was beaming. You'd thought he'd received a million dollars from the look on his face. Where was my camera? Home. Dang, I would have loved to have had a picture of that.

We came home and hubby laid down on the couch. A storm was moving in and it was too hot and humid to do anything outside. I read for a while and then had a little nap of my own. We had burgers and corn on the cob for dinner and since then I've been crocheting some dish cloths.

A very quiet Sunday. In the next few days I will try to post some of my most recent projects so you can see what I've been up to.

Have a great week.

  4. I just BET he was thrilled...to get just what he asked for couldn't be better. You're tops, Grandma!! Ya, too bad you didn't have the camera.

It's so hot here right now, and humid, even a snakes belly is sizzling in the wagon ruts! LOLOLOL

Blogger is giving me fits this morning, and I'm slowly giving up visiting anyone, but had to stop by 'cause of your sweet invitation!!!

  5. Please tell Jordan a Happy Birthday from us. I'm glad you were able to get him the chair. Hope you're doing well. We're down to one computer so it limits my time on here all the more. I'm glad I had time to stop by and "visit".

  10. It is fun to have a grown up's office chair. I need a new one and would be thrilled to get one.
For me, at my age, it has to lean back to I cab nap in it from time to time.

The weather is cooling down around here. I hope it is for you too, by now.
