This week I'd like to show you a few fairies from my fairy collection.
The one above was given to me by Pea at Pea's Corner when hubby and I met her and Steve in August. I've made her a home in my china cabinet and she seems to be very comfortable there. She is awesome and I love her so much.
Can you guess who the above fairies are? They were in the animated Disney film, Sleeping Beauty. Do you remember what their names were. Flora (pink) Fauna (green) and Merriweather. I can remember these from one of the first movies I ever saw in a theater and of course, since I love fairies and saw these beauties at a bargain price, I snagged them. These are miniature Royal Daltons and stand about 5 inches high.
The fairies above were bought for me by the boys. They were selling them at the apple festival last weekend, so the boys bought them for me for my birthday, which isn't for a while yet, but they just had to give them to me and I wasn't going to refuse. I always like a new fairy to add to my collection.
The beautiful green fairy above is one that hubby bought me. She is a tealight candle holder and I love her. Along with some of my other fairies, she lives in my china cabinet.
I even have twin fairies, but they're not identical twins. Hubby bought these for me about 3 years ago for my birthday. They are so cute.
I hope you enjoyed my Show and Tell Friday. Have a great weekend and be sure to take some time to enjoy the simple things in life. ~Blessings, Mary~
Hey girl........ I love taking a peek at your little collection....... I have missed a couple of your post and will go back and read tomorrow...... It has been pretty busy around here and I have not had any time to be on the computer...... I so miss my friends..... each of you special ladies are a needed link to the world for me.... I wonder about your Aunt May and now her husband......
ReplyDeletehave a blessed weekend girl and I promise to write a long email this weekend...............
What a lovely collection of faeries you have!!! All are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo nice that got to meet Pea!
I am back to blogging again. My son took his 2 cats home Sunday night, and now I am trying to catch up on my reading. I hope to get all caught up by the end of the weekend. My son's cats required a lot of meds and time. He's having quite a time now trying to get their pills down them. I spent a lot of time caring for them. Neither will make it til Christmas, though....
Nice to be back visiting your wonderful blog again!

ReplyDeleteManuela
Very cute collection. I especially like the Cinderella ones.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful collection you have!
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by. :)
Those are so cute. I love figurines.
ReplyDeleteI love your little fairies. I bought a darling little Tinker Bell figurine at Disneyland back when it first opened. It got broken. I wish I had saved the pieces. Should have taken better care of it, but I was young and foolish.
ReplyDeleteAuhhh, they are all so cute. I love Flora, Fona and Merriweather! I remember them!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sharon
I think your fairies are so beautiful! Thanks for sharing them with us. Hugs, Grams
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...maybe you shouldn't invite me to your place...you may find missing faeries after I leave!!! hehe Oh Mary, your faeries are just gorgeous and I'm so glad you like the one I got for you. I hope you'll always look fondly upon it and remember our first meeting...the first of many I'm sure:-) xoxo
ReplyDeleteGee Mary if I had to pick a favor fairy from your collection it would drive me nuts.
ReplyDeleteAll so nice.
Coffee is on.
Mary,
ReplyDeleteThey are all cute, but I really like the tea candle holder the best - probably because I love tea candles.
Very cute and beautiful fairies - I don't have any fun collections. I just collect dust!
ReplyDeleteawww you have pretty things - Sleeping Beauty was one of my favourite stories as a child :-)
ReplyDeleteI love love fairies. I use to have the girls bathroom decorated in them-but they out grew it (or so they said!). I wish it was still decorated like that. Your collection is really great!
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty little fairies! I didn't know you collected fairies. They are very delicate looking, very sweet.
ReplyDeleteKatherine
Mary those fairies are so sweet. What a lovely collection.
ReplyDeleteI have the Circle journal for a few more days and then I send it one. I have just realized while writing in it that my life is pretty steady right now. No ups or downs, just fairly smooth sailing with the occasional patch of rough water or fog. God has blessed me abundantly.
God bless.
You have a fine fairy collection, Mary. They are all so special. I especially love the ones from Sleeping Beauty. I saw the movie in the theater too. Happy weekend
ReplyDeleteKathi
Mary, your fairy collection is wonderful and I know how much you treasure them all!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kelli
I like all of your Faries...so nice...m...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fairy collection, Mary!
ReplyDeleteI just have one...similar to the ones that your grandsons got for you. My youngest little girl got it for me as a gift- I think she thought it was angel, but either way, I love it.
And yes, I recognized those three little fairies from Sleeping Beauty right away! :)
I did a Show and Tell today, too!
Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeletePrince just said he is ready to head to TSC so I only have a few moments to comment and will have to come back to read Thursdays. I love each fairie and would be hard press to say which would be my favorite. Sounds like you like fairies as much as I like teapots. Peace
Wonderful fairies.
ReplyDeleteI made some cards with fairies on them and they were a joy to make.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Fantastic blog! Do you have any tips and hints for aspiring writers?
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to start my own website soon but I'm a little lost on everything.
Would you advise starting with a free platform like Wordpress or go for a paid option?
There are so many options out there that I'm totally overwhelmed .. Any ideas? Many thanks!
