Thankful Thursday

I've had a hard week. Everything has been stressful and I'm tired. However, I am not going to complain. Instead I'm going to give thanks for my blessings.

* I am thankful for the unconditional love of my grandsons. They are very forgiving and always lift me up with their laughter.

* I am thankful for a husband that is patient (mostly) when I am in a bad mood and not being the person that I like myself to be.

* I am thankful that God helps me through the times of depression. I've done this battle before and won. I will be victorious in it again because He sustains me.

* I am thankful for all of my blogging friends who stop by and make me smile. This means YOU! Each of you brighten my life.

* I am thankful for my Alaskan malamute, Meeko, who knows when I'm not feeling my usual self and comforts me or makes me laugh at his silly antics.

* I am thankful for a roof over my head, food on the table and enough money to pay the bills. Many have far less.

* I am thankful to be a child of God, for my Father knows my every need and He is with me in all things.

  2. Mary, I am sorry you are feeling poorly. Hopefully, in a day or two it will pass.

Go to my blog and dance alone to the salsa music there. I doubt if a person can be down long dancing to a latin tune. I am amused by this particular song for the singer and I share a name. Phil Robinson doesn't seem very latin, eh!

  3. Susie,

Thank you for your kind words. You are one of my many blessings.

    Philip,

This will all work itself out one way or another. I suffered from depression for many years and for the last several haven't had it touch my life at all. It hit me kind of hard. However, it will not beat me.

    Blessings to both of you.
    Mary

  5. Lovely list, Mary.

At least you recognize the symptoms of depression in yourself. That's the first step to getting better. Hope you feel more yourself, and soon!

Have a good day, my friend. You are loved and appreciated, Mary. :o)

    Love and hugs,

    Diane

  6. Good Afternoon Mary,
I'm sorry you have had a bad week. Don't let it get you down too much. I've been there myself many times. Yes, we have lots to be Thankful for. Since tomorrow is Show and Tell, I am going to do a Show and Tell/Thankful combination. I had a bad scare this morning and it inspired me to do this. I've never done the Friday Show and Tell, but tomorrow, I am going to. Thanks for stopping by yesterday. It was very nice to meet you as well. If you don't mind, I would like to add you to my blogroll. Have a great Thursday and God Bless You.

    Hugs,
    Karen H.

  10. I think tossing pebbles in the stream has a great idea. Now lets us go one step further. How about us many a list of songs to DANCE AWAY DEPRESSION. Surely there is a cure in dancing no matter how one moves. First on the list is George Strait's song "Just give it away".
    Your turn.
Take care my friend and peace be with you.

  17. My very wise mother in law always said her favorite Bible verse was "And it came to pass..." because it meant that nothing ever comes to stay.
May it come to pass for you, too.
