Thanks and Giving Challenge

Today I continue my thanks and giving challenge in honor of US Thanksgiving.

Today I'm thankful for sharing some time with my grandsons after school. I took them out and they showed me a few things they'd like for Christmas. That way I know I'm getting them something that they will like. Later, my daughter and I will collaberate on who is getting what so there aren't any duplications.

I just like spending time with the boys. We had a good talk today about what's happening in their lives. They are very open with me and I hope that will always continue. The boys bring me great joy.

Now, for the giving. I would like to give everyone this beautiful graphic at the top of this post. If you like it, it is yours. Just click and save to your computer.

  4. Happy (American) Thanksgiving to you!
We are going further south, almost to the Mexican border near San Diego to MamaMia's house. Our last time to be together as a family before Chaplain Dan leaves for the middle east.

  6. edge of design,

I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to Ontario. It is pretty when the Artist paints our woods with his palette of color. Have a blessed Thanksgiving.

  9. Good Evening Mary,
"THANK YOU" so much for this banner. I will put it on my sidebar with great pride. Too bad you live in Canada, you could come eat Thanksgiving dinner with me. I'm glad you had a great time with your grandson's. Sometimes the grandkids open up to the grandparents more than they do their own parents. We just got back from basketball practice. Take care my friends and have a great evening. Hope to see you tomorrow sometime. God Bless You and Yours.

    Hugs,
    Karen H.

  10. Denise,

You are most welcome for the graphic. I had fun with the boys after school and if it stops raining, tomorrow is Brandon's day to go to the farm. If we can't go, we are going to go and pick up some Christmas cards and then he's coming to Grandma's to have supper. Thursday will be Jordan's turn.

Thanks for all of your prayers.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  11. Karen,

Thank you for your lovely invitation to dinner. It means a lot.

I have taken care of my grandsons since the time they were babies, as my daughter has always worked. So they are like my own boys. We have lots of fun together. Thank you for your friendship.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  17. That's a good idea. To take the boys to the store to pick out what they want. I usually get catalogs and have them circle what they want. That's wonderful that they are close to you.

  19. Mary,

I've been spending time with the kids too - it's been a busy week around here - and will be until Friday. So I'm trying to get around and catch up on blogs and I will see every one - on and off - whenever I can catch a few minutes.
