I've been tagged by Hootin' Anni over at Hootin' Anni's on the 8 facts/habits of mine! Well, I must admit there are a few habits I have that none of my blogging friends know about. However, there are rules that are supposed to be followed:
Rules:
In the 8 facts about yourself, you share 8 things that your readers don’t know about you. Then at the end you tag at least 8 other bloggers to keep the fun going.
1. My greatest joy in life is giving to others.
2. I have a soft heart and have trouble saying no, even when people take advantage of me.
3. I take so much and then I have a sharp tongue.
4. My favorite t-shirt has a picture of Tinkerbell on it. It says "Mood subject to change without notice." When I've had enough, this can be very true.
5. I have been likened to the disciple, Peter. Remember when he cut the soldier's ear off in the garden? Did Peter have red hair?
6. I am always punctional. I hate being late and dislike those who are late. If anything, I am early for appointments. If anything happens that makes me late, I get very stressed.
7. I have a bad habit of not taking time for myself.
8. I am a leader, not a follower. I do things "My Way," just like in Frank Sinatra's song.
Now to tag eight people for this meme:
Renie at Renie Burghardt's World
BJ at Sweet Nothings
Joan at The Erstwhile Librarian
Carolyn at Talk to Grams
Katherine at Yellow Rose Arbor
Hope at Second Time Around
Denise at Shortybear's Place
Karen at Karen's Korner
I do hope that all of your ladies will participate and let me know when you have your meme posted so I can read your answers. If you cannot take part, I will understand. Also, anyone else that would like to participate is most welcome.
I want to present the above award to all of my blogging friends who prayed for Michelle while she was recuperating from surgery and those who prayed for me when I had that nasty flu. I would also like to give it to anyone who visits here regularly or who emails me on a regular basis. Please take a copy and know that you mean a lot to me. I have so many friends here in blogville and I want you to know that I appreciate your friendship. ~Blessings, Mary~
Hey girl... I love reading your Meme.. and I kinda knew that you were a giver.. it shows so well in your blog and the things you do and say.. and I knew that you neglected yourself too much for the sake of others... that is what givers do... I have also been absent too much from blogging but not because I do not love it hear.. life is just a hustle bustle sometimes... Mom and Dad are good now and I am thankful for that and I am trying so hard to rest as I should and avoid surgery... Second shot seemed to help but the effects did not last long..bummer... anyway... I do love coming here and sitting a spell and just reading... I have a surprise in the next few days for all you gals... so keep a watch out on my sewtheword blog... it will be fun.. In fact I will have two surprises... I can't wait...
ReplyDeleteLove to you and your family and I pray that Michelle is growing stonger each day...
hugs
Dearest Mary,
ReplyDeleteReading your answers to the meme felt like it was ME that had answered them...we are very much alike on many fronts! Congratulations on all the awards...I've learned to write down on a notepad right away who gives me one, otherwise I'd forget! lol Wow, you sure did get a lot of snow...it hasn't snowed at all here the last few days, thank goodness, since we still have tons of snow from before. Hope all is well dear friend. xoxo

ReplyDeleteI have posted my meme.
ReplyDeleteMorni' Mary!!! Now you got my curiosity piqued again. I wanna see the tinkerbell t-shirt!!! Photos, we want photos. LOL
ReplyDeleteI too can take quite a bit, but when irked beyond composure, look out!!
This was a great 8 facts you did.
[I think we're so much alike, don't you?]
Happy Tuesday.
[ps...I'm reading Pea's comment as I type, and what I do to remember who gave them to me, I always add their name to the graphic as I save them to my computer.]
......well, that should read "Mornin' Mary" instead of what the keyboard put down...that nasty keyboard.
ReplyDeleteYou're a breath of fresh air. I also do not like to be late. It's a pet peeve of mine to say the least.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your prayer for Brande' and for your friendship. I enjoy your blog and emails so much. Your a very special and caring person.

I am praying that you and Michele will both be back to your old selves very soon...
Mimi
Hi Mary. I enjoyed reading your 8 facts. I knew you were a giver! What a blessing! I hate it when people are late as well. I have always thought of it as selfishness. When people think their time is more important than yours. Dare I say you need to work on #7. A little time for yourself is a good thing! Have a grand day!
ReplyDeleteHi Mary, thanks for visiting my place today and enjoying my St Patrick's day celebration pictures...I love all of your graphics... very nice..Come over and see me any time. Hugs, Baba
ReplyDeleteGood Afternoon Mary,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your Meme. I will try and do it one day this week. I have been tagged to do 2 other ones as well. LOL. When it rains it pours huh? LOL. "THANK YOU" so much for the Friendship Award. I am like Pea, I find myself having to write notes about things so I don't forget them. LOL. Me and you have several things in common from your Meme. Are you sure we aren't related to each other? LOL. I am red-headed as well and as you know what they say about red-heads. They do have a temper. I don't like to be late either. I had much rather be early as late. You never know when something might happen and you need to allow time for such things. I am finally doing my laundry today. LOL. I have one load in the dryer and another one in the washer. I still need to wash some towels, but I don't know if I'll get to it today or not. We still have some to use tho. Take care my friend and have a great afternoon. May God Bless You and Yours.
Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
We definitely have two things in common - I am leader, not a follower. And I cannot abide tardiness! I'm pretty much always early, and if I'm late it's because somebody else held me up.
ReplyDeleteIt was fun learning more about you, Mary!
ReplyDeleteAnd that was so sweet to give the friendship award to all who prayed for you and Michelle!
Come over and help me wish my mom a happy birthday if you can!
Blessings,
~Tammy
Just stopping by to say Hi and thank you for the sweet award. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteMary, you are such a sweetheart, and a true giver:) Congrats on your awards!! love ya my friend,
ReplyDeleteDeb
Hi Mary, I have been so upset since we came from the dentist that I just now at 8:30 getting on here. Nancy didn't have a good report at the dentist today. She is just to sick to be able to go to the hospital and have any teeth out. He said he didn't think she would make it through surgery. So now he is talking to another dentist who would just give her a local. Will see how this goes...
ReplyDeleteI got the cutest icon award from you in an e-mail tonight!! THANKS!
I will try to get the meme done this week.... I sure enjoyed reading your meme!! Love you, Carolyn
Hi Mary,
ReplyDeleteI keep trying to catch up with everyone and keep getting behind again!! I'm so glad to hear that Michelle is doing better. Sounds like she's on the mend this time!
That was some snow you got there. We still haven't had any. Ours will probably come in April! We had a good sized snow one year on May 10.
I'm working on my list for the meme. It's hard to confess bad habits!! LOL I enjoyed reading yours and getting to know you better.
Hugs,
Hope
Since knowledge is power, perhaps now that you’ve made this list and shared it with us … you’ll release #7 and begin to take better care of yourself ;--)
ReplyDeleteI love the ‘Tinkerbell’ t-shirt and am reminded of a few of my favorites. Thanks, as always, for the awards. Friends are a blessing indeed. I'm delighted you love the 'friendship' award I left for you recently and am happy you've passed it on so generously.
Hugs and blessings,
Mary,
ReplyDeleteIt was fun to read your meme. I did know most of your facts and because of those I know, I pretty well guessed the rest!! LOL
I am trying to get caught up. It seems like you and Michelle must both be doing well. I hope I'm right about that!! :-)
Love & Hugs,
Tina
