Update on Brandon

Posted on Wednesday night:

Thanks to everyone for your prayers for Brandon. I spent most of my day on the phone and finally got fed up and called the Chief of Police. I spoke to the secretary and she had a lady officer call me back. This is the safety officer that goes to the boys' school once a month. We have no police in our schools on a regular basis.

Anyway, the constable said that there is no way the boys have to put up with this. She wants to talk to the boys and says that charges can still be laid because the boy threw Jordan into the street. There is no statue of limitations on assault and she says it definitely was assault. She is going to get back to me and get this straightened out.

Thanks again for all your prayers. I am exhausted so am heading to bed early. ~Blessings, Mary~

  1. You are such a great Grandma. I am sure it means to world to those boys to know that not only are their parents standing up for them, but so are their Grandparents.

  2. Hi Mary,
I'm so glad they are going to pursue this. As others have said, no child should have to fear going to school.
Here in our town we have two police officers at each public high school campus. (None up to grade 8)
Hope you can relax a bit.
    hugs

  5. Mary, I hope y'all can get something done and soon. There is no excuse for allowing bullying to go on, especially when there are rules and laws in place that should be enforced. And in this case it's progressed beyond bullying to assault!

    Love and prayers,

    Diane

  7. Oh goody! Someone gets it! I'm happy for you. In the meantime, forgive me if you mentioned this before and sometimes I lose track however, have you ever heard that a Celiac diet as well as no dairy actually helps with Asperger's?

  12. Oh Mary, I'm late hearing about this...I'm so sorry Brandon has been so bullied at school!
So glad you are so on top of this!

I wasn't physically bullied but emotionally in 5th-6th grade and it was SO painful...

  15. There is no cause for a child to be or feel unsafe at school or anywhere else for that matter. He is so lucky to have you in his corner. I will pray for all of you...Mary

  16. Mary,

I am so sorry about Brandon's troubles. I had no idea this was going on. I am part of a prayer blog called Hearts in One Accord and I am going to ask for prayer for Brandon.

I would like you to meet Susan at Penless Writer. I guess I always assumed you two were friends, but I don't think you know each other. I think you would be great friends. She is the one who put together the prayer blog. Here is her link:

    http://penlesswriter.blogspot.com/

If you cannot get to her through this, please come to my blog and click on Penless Writer.

I will tell her about you too!

Have a good weekend. I pray that the Lord will bless you and your family and resolve these issues with Brandon.

    Hugs, Sharon

  17. Mary,

This is the best news!! I knew if anyone could get action, it is you. And I knew you wouldn't stop trying. You really are the best Grandma and an outstanding person. Three cheers for the police officer you talked to. Finally, someone who knows and is willing to do her job!

I hope this goes well and is quickly resolved so the boys can start to heal. My heart and prayers are with them and you!

    Love and hugs,
    Tina
