Keeping Busy

I've been keeping busy this week. Hubby and I are decluttering and fixing things up a little and I've been busy creating. Once I get the projects done that I'm working on, I will post photos. It's nice to be in a creative mood for a change. With all this dreary and overcast weather we've been having (no sun for a week) it's been depressing. I find when I keep busy that it keeps depression at bay.

Hubby and I went to Ho*me De*pot today to pick up a few things that I needed to complete my project and I was lucky enough to get some very good deals.

Not much else going on here. I talked to the boys this afternoon. Brandon is starting exams next week, so please keep him in your prayers.

  1. De-cluttering seems to be the word du jour here too as Mandy, for whatever reason, decided about 10 p.m. tonight to do just that with all the odds and ends of a little but if just about everything that was in the glass enclosed section of our china cabinet! Something I want no real part of clearing out so I'm working on clearing out my reader instead.
    Peace.

Art is a God's gift to few chosen people.

  5. De-cluttering? I like de-cluttering. It's one of my favorite things to do. I just wish I did it more often. :) I've been meaning to ask how your hubby is feeling these days. I understand what you mean about no sun. I used to go to the Tanning Beds to survive winters.

  7. I know what you are talking about with the dreary weather! But we have been blessed this week with some blue skies and temps in the 50's!
It is nice to have a thaw out time...and weather that allows us to get out and do some walking.
Glad you are enjoying a little creativity...I'll have to pop in and see what you have created.

  8. So that explains why I haven't seen you visit in the last couple of days. Hmmmmmm....going to Home Depot without me, unfair!! I'm like Tim the Tool Man when it comes to that store. But I always seem to get outdoors to the plants ---- for some reason. hehehehehe

My wednesday sketch post is HERE if you'd like to stop by to view.

PS...the sun didn't last long here either. It's foggy and cloudy...but humid and yucky at the same time here again today.

  9. Anxiously awaiting the show and tell! I would send you some sunshine if I could. Although it looks a bit cloudy today and hasn't been quite as bright as normal the last couple of days. We need some more moisture, though - badly. It's forecast for Friday and Saturday, but we'll see.

    Have a productive day!

  10. hello I am playing the game Catch Up. Seems I will be doing that alot this year. I enjoyed the post on your Uncle and the rest of the trip to the Smithsoian. When you get through decluttering come on down south and I have a massive job for you. Can't wait to see the finished projects. Peace

  11. I have been decluttering, too. I've been working in the attic, of all places, and it is so cold up there. I've got boxes of stuff that I keep adding to that will be put in a yard sale, come spring. I don't know how we accumulate so much stuff (well, yes, I do know :) )
