What I'll Be Doing Today

 Cool Graphics at RevolutionMySpace.com

Good Saturday morning to my friends and readers. I haven't been online as much lately because of all that's going on here. We're gearing up to start rebuilding all that we've torn out. Once we get the bathroom wallboard up, we should be well on our way. Then there is the taping and mudding and then the plumber will come in to put in the bathroom, toilet and vanity/sink. When he is finished, we will prime and paint. In fact I might prime before we get him to come. It would be much easier and I don't want primer and paint all over the new vanity/sink and tub. I wish that the painting could be done before it goes in, but am not sure about that. I'm still thinking about it. It would be a lot easier. What do you think?

Today is Griffyn's birthday. For anyone who doesn't know, Griffyn is my great-nephew. His mother, Melissa, is having a birthday party for him. He will be one and that is reason for celebration. So this afternoon, we will be heading out for a couple hours of relaxation and fun with family. I will be try to remember the camera so I can get lots of photos.

Have a terrific Saturday. Just touching base. Maybe next week I will have some photos of how the work is progressing. ~Blessings, Mary~

  2. Mary I think now is the time to paint, for two reasons, you don't have to be so careful going around the tub and vanity.Easier to do it now and if you wait, then you will have clean-up to do,off the new items installed...Just a thought.
    Good luck.

  3. Hey girl,,,,,, good to see you.. Just thinking about you....... sounds like you have a handle on all that work and I think painting is now and not after...much easier... Me and Dennis have remodled about 6 houses in the past 5 years and if you have an empty room painting is a breeze..... Enjoy your family time and holler when you can........

  5. Why not paint beforehand? I think I would. Afterall, you can always do the small touch ups afterward, right?

Oh boy, oh boy...more photos of Griffyn! Can't wait, can't wait. He's such a doll face. Of course you don't need to be told that now, do you? Happy happy birthday to him.

And happy, happy day to you too my dear Mary.

  6. I would say paint first...then you don't have to worry about getting paint on the vanity/sink and tub...

  10. We renovated a bathroom last year. I don't envy you in the least, but can't wait to see pictures of your new room!
Business around here, too, has cut my blogging time back to almost nothing. It always gets that way in the summer months for me. So much to do and enjoy outside.
    Have a beautiful weekend!

  11. Good morning to you too!
Sounds like you are up and chipper...that's good. And it will be nice for you to be able to get out and have some fun with family. Sounds like a great day.
I am with the others on painting before hand. You can always do a touch up after the installation if you need to. Better now than when you will have to crawl around sinks and toilets.
    Have a great day!
We are going to take a couple of days and go to N.C to look around. Hubby thinks that is what God is saying.
We have sold two of our pieces of property...papers will be signed next week. Praise God.
So now we are just looking for God to show us where to go and buy.
Love ya and thanks for the prayers...keep it up...its working!

  13. Mary,

Griffyn is one already? I remember when you posted his baby picture. Doesn't seem like a year ago. Happy Birthday to him. Helping him celebrate will be such fun. And as you said, it will be good to get away from your remodelling project, and relax with family.

Have a blessed weekend, my friend.

    Hugs,

    Renie

  14. And a Good Monday Morning now to you! We came back from our trip a day earlier than planned -Kurtis wasn't the nicest of little campers out of his familiar surroundings - but we still managed to have a nice time, lovely visit and good traveling both ways.
Loved the pictures of the birthday boy - too cute! And, I can't think of any reason why you couldn't do the plastering and painting before the other stuff is put in place. I would think it would make it much easier to do that first, wouldn't it?
