In other news, Tina of Tina's Odds and Ends tagged me for the meme "What would I write if I had an extra hour every day?"

I had already taken part in this meme when Michele from Writing the Cyber Highway tagged me. However, I wondered if I could come up with anything else to write with an extra hour each day. This is what I discovered:

I would begin to write poetry again. All I have to do is see a beautiful picture and I can write a poem about it - or see something in nature that inspires me - or someone can say or write something that gives me a picture and I can write a poem about it. I love writing poetry and wish that I had more time. I will post a poem that I've written one of these days.

I would write more often in my grandsons' journals if I had an extra hour a day. Maybe that doesn't count because I think I said that in the last meme.

I would write more family stories, such as this one I wrote about The Old Pump. I love writing memoirs of my childhood and really should put all of these stories into a book.

I'm not sure who to tag this time so I will leave it open. Anyone who reads this is welcome to participate. If you do, please leave a comment so I can read your post.

  2. Tina,

The graphic is nice. I put my name in for the giveaway and hope you will also. I have that brand new great-nephew and he would look nice in those duds.

Hope all is well with you and yours.

    Hugs,
    Mary

  3. Great job, Mary. Very thoughtful answers. And... I still love the idea of those journals for your grandson!

I noticed you figured out the html code for hyperlinking back to your site via comments ;0) Way to go!

    Smiles,

  4. Michele,

Yes, I've kept the code and can do it. I still haven't figured out the image code. There's something not right. It's not working. I will keep at it until I figure it out. I do a little bit, think about it and try it again later.

    Blessings for a terrific Tuesday.

  7. I would treasure more stories like The Old Pump but if Poetry is what you wish to spend an extra hour on, Go Forth and write.

    Myself I would paint more.

  8. blueblue,

I will be over to check it out. Sounds like fun.

    Lady Di,

I think I used that on the previous meme that I did on this. Writing family stories and keeping the boys journals would be at the top of the list, of course. :-)

    Blessings,
    Mary

  9. Love your choices, Mary. Family stories are always great to write, aren't they? And I know you write lovely poetry. Why don't you post some? We'd love it.

I enjoyed reading about what you would write with extra time. And the Duds are cute.

  10. Renie,

I will post some poetry for you. I just have to look through my poetry folder and come up with something I think folks would like.

Yes, the Duds are cute. I entered and if I win my winnings will go to great-nephew, Griffyn. He's a sweetie and growing sooo fast.

I always look forward to your visits, Renie.

    Blessings for a great week.

I remember reading your beautiful poetry when we were at the suite. You had another website for your poetry. I loved reading it. I hope you get to write more!

  12. Tina,

I will be posting a poem here in the near future. I love the fairy poems that I've written. I have three and think maybe I will post one of them. If I can find a copy, I'm going to post my "Thanksgiving at Grandma's" story.

Take care and thanks for dropping by. I always enjoy your visits.

    Hugs,
    mary

  13. Mary,

Great post. The Old Pump story was really good - and I liked the one on the spirit bears. The treasure blog is great - I only discovered it a few days ago. Maybe you would consider putting a link to it on this blog??
